Celebrating Grandparents and the Elderly in 2024

The global community is once again celebrating Grandparents and the Elderly. This is the fourth time this day is celebrated since it was launched. This year the celebration will be on Sunday 21st July. This day is associated with the Feast Day of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, The grandparents of Jesus.
The theme for this year’s celebration is:
Do not cast me off in my old age.
It is taken from Psalm 71:9
