Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
When he calls I shall answer: ‘I am with you,’
I will save him in distress. (Psalm 90: 15)
I will save him in distress. (Psalm 90: 15)
The words from Psalm 90 are part of today’s readings and remind us that we are never alone because God is with us, particularly in this time of distress.
I therefore call everyone in our diocese to be one in prayer asking God for the gift of wisdom and the gift of courage to break the cycle of violence and follow God’s will of fullness of life for each one of us (John 10:10).
Let us also pray for the full recovery of Pope Francis who had a surgery yesterday afternoon.

I ask everyone – from today until Sunday 11 July 2021 – to daily pray the rosary at 6.00 PM with these two intentions asking Mary Queen of Peace to intercede for us in this moment.
I call our priests to choose the Masses “for reconciliation”, “for harmony” and “for justice and peace” in their daily celebration of the Mass together with the Eucharist prayers for Reconciliation.
May we all carry in our hearts, minds and lips the prayer for peace: “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace”.
Fraternally Yours in Christ,
