In this Sunday's parable about the Kingdom of Heaven we find ten virgins: five of them wise and five foolish. The difference between them is that going to wait for the bridegroom some were wise enough to take oil together with their lamps while the rest foolishly took take their lamps but not oil.
Even much earlier in the Gospel Jesus had spoken about wise and foolish...
