It amazes me because when you read the verses before that one, you find that Jesus has no reason to celebrate:
- John the Baptist from prison wonders if Jesus is indeed the Messiah;
- Jesus, in turn, reproaches the towns in which most of his miracles had been worked because they refused to believe.
