Livi laba yinyama
In our Lenten journey we have traveled from the desert to the top of the mountain and now to Jacob's well where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman.
By the end of the passage there is an amazing moment: this woman who seems to have gone to fetch water at midday to avoid meeting other people, having met Jesus, she puts down her water jar, hurries back to town and tells everyone: “come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done”.
She realizes that no matter who she is or what she has done, Jesus loved her and entrusted her with nothing else than... who he is.
A much deeper thirst in her life had been satisfied by Jesus, the living water. That is why she calls everyone to go to him: “come and see” she tells us.
