A year ago we launched a weekly video on Instagram called "One minute gospel". It was only for the Advent season. Below is the one I prepared for this year. I must confess it was not easy to share a reflection in less than 60 seconds!
“Livi laba yinyama, lahlala phakathi kwethu”
In less than a month we will be celebrating Christmas: the birth of Jesus.
Jesus is the one celebrating the birthday and he himself is the gift. As Isaiah says in chapter 9 verse 6: “For to us a child is born”. It is his birthday and we receive the gift.
During these coming weeks:

- Let us daily say the prayer of the “angelus”. It is a beatiful prayer reminding us of his anunciation and birth;
- Let us also keep the Sunday Gospel in our hearts as John the Baptist and Mary the mother of Jesus help us with their words to welcome him;
- Let us also welcome Jesus in those He himself chose to identify with. I was hungry, thirsty, in prison, sick, a foreigner and you welcomed me.
