#CatholicMEDIAexpo (second part!) Bishops and "selfies"

The event had been announced and "advertised" through the social media (Facebook, Twitter...) but, of course, no one knew if people would respond. They did! Young and... less young, male and female, laity and clergy.

Bishops "joined" through messages and tweets.
"The modern means of communication are a "sine qua non" (must use) for the spread of the Gospel" (Archbishop Buti Thlagale OMI)
"Catholic Media is an essential part of evangelization, of bringing Christ on to the public square" (Archbishop Stephen Brislin)

"I wish you and all at Catholic Media Expo every success as you share in such an important area of evangelization" (Bp Joe Sandri)

"I fully support its promotion and would like to encourage all the participants to make the most of it" (Bp Zolile)
"Internet, smartphones, TV, radio, magazines are here to stay. How we use them is always the fundamental question. Do we use them in a way which glorifies God and helps develop our humanity ...? May the Expo be a success." (Bp Joao)

Archbishop William Slattery OFM (Archdiocese of Pretoria) joined us at midday. We all remembered we had been encouraged in the morning to take a "selfie" with him when he would arrive and "publish it" in any social media. Here is ours!
