#CatholicMEDIAexpo (first part!)

Not everyone celebrates an 80th birthday looking forward to the future...! That is what we did on Saturday. It was an event we could certainly call: "a first in history!"

"Trefoil Magazine" (a Southern African Catholic magazine) celebrates its 80th birthday this year. This was the "excuse" to organize the first Catholic media event in the country bringing together most of the Catholic people involved in media.

What made it so special was the fact that they had not been called to talk about it to each other but to share their expertise with anyone who would be interested in sharing their faith through any form of media.

The list of "presenters" was impresive: AD News, Awestruck, Catholic Chaplaincy Braamfontein, Gravid Brand Communication, Jesuit Institute, Mariannhill Mission Press, Radio Veritas, Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference, Southern Cross, St Augustine's, Trefoil (of course!), Vega School of Brand Leadership. A number of them based in Johannesburg area but others were brought from KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town for the event.

I had been invited too to join them (considering who was there I would not say as "an expert") but to share my own experience in this field.

When the presenters were gathered at 09.30 for a brief introduction to the day, I had a great feeling of joy and gratefulness to God for having blessing us for so many great people ready to share their talents with others (for free!).
