Remembering our departed brother priests (Diocese of Manzini)

Arriving in the Diocese of Manzini more than a year ago as "apostolic administrator" (or "acting bishop" as we normally say) priests shared about a future project to remember two diocesan priests who had died some years' ago by unveiling their tombstones.

It took most of this year to finalise the project. We then decided that being the day of the faithful departed ("all souls") a Saturday, we could do it on that day.

We then met at St Joseph's mission (where the diocesan cemetery is held) for the celebration of the Mass. Members of the different parishes joined us in prayer. Remembering them, we also prayed for all the bishops, priests, religious, lay people who generously served the Diocese in the past and the many benefactors who had supported the pastoral work and projects.

I presided the Mass and Fr Khuluse (Florence Mission) was in charge of the homily.

After Mass we walked to the cemetery for the unveiling of the tombs.
